After breakfast your driver guide will be waiting to transfer you in a private 4WD vehicle to Sanctuary Swala situated in the Tarangire National Park which has one of the largest populations of elephants in Tanzania.

It was here, in the Great Rift Valley, that the remains of early hominids dating back 2 million years were uncovered. After a picnic lunch our drive continues toward Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world. Our home for two nights is Lemala Ngorongoro offering guests an intimate and luxurious stay in a prime location on the crater rim, facing a lovely forest filled with sounds of wildlife, birds and the bells of Masai cattle. You will arrive in the late afternoon at the Lemala Ngorongoro Luxury Camp, for dinner and overnight.

Today we drive to Serengeti Serena set high on the saddle of tree-clad ridge commanding panoramic views over the endlessly rolling reaches and volcanic reefs of the Serengeti. Drawing its inspiration from the circular ‘Rondavel’ dwellings and winding paths of a traditional Maasai village, the Lodge features thickly-thatched, stone-built rooms, spaciously set amongst groves of indigenous trees that are cooled by sparkling streams and papyrus-fringed ponds. We will arrive for lunch and in the afternoon enjoy a game drive. Meal plan is full board.

After breakfast, we drive to Lemala Ndutu , the ultimate amphitheater for the wildebeest migration between December and April. The nine luxury tents are relocated from the Mara area of Northern Serengeti to this stunning Ndutu site between Dec and mid-April, purely to capture the boundless drama that accompanies the migration. The migrating herds of over 1.5 million wildebeest and zebra begin to arrive in December. Throughout February and March, the calving season takes place. We arrive for lunch and in the late afternoon set out for a game drive in the park. Meal plan is full board.

Full day spent in the Serengeti with picnic lunch. The Serengeti National Park is undoubtedly the most famous wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and the greatest concentration of plains game anywhere. Dinner and overnight will be at Lemala Ndutu.

We depart early after breakfast for a long and scenic drive back to Kilimanjaro for your onward flight where your Tanzanian safari ends.
